Feel.Good.Now.

If you visit our Instagram page, you will see that we laugh… we laugh and laugh and laugh… all the time. All you have to do is feel good now. Whatever you have to do to feel good NOW – do it! That’s one of our mottos. We discovered it in 2003 listening to spiritual teacher Dr. Wayne Dyer in his audio book “The Power of Intention.”

It literally transformed our lives. All you have to do is feel good now, because when you’re feeling good – you’re feeling God. Think about that for a second! Whoever God is (or isn’t) to you, don’t you want to feel that… that feeling of complete peace, power, calm, and love. That’s what feeling good (or God) should feel like… yourself.

We all came from somewhere. I want to feel like that. My self.

When you’re laughing, you’re living in the moment. You’re feeling like your self. You’re feeling God. Do whatever it takes to feel that way now. If you need to watch some funny Vines, go right ahead. If eating a candy bar will make you feel good right now, eat the candy bar. If yelling at the top of your lungs to let it out will make you feel better, yell louder than you’ve ever yelled before. Even if you need to have ‘special time’ with yourself 😉 do that. Literally, whatever you have to do to feel good now – do it!

This has been one of our top mottos for 15 years and I assure you it will be for years and years and years to come.

I’m blessed to have Anna. She is the funniest person I know. She loves to make me laugh. And I love her to make me laugh. Thank God for joy! Thank God for laughter!

If you don’t have an Anna, make your own self laugh. The scripture said David (who became King) encouraged himself. Encourage yourself! If you can’t encourage yourself, find someone to encourage – when you sow into others; it’s amazing how much better YOU feel.

One of our favorite movies is The Grinch. Whenever we watch that, we are filled with excitement, wonderment, and glee. Glee!! I don’t even know if I’ve ever said that word before 🙂 hhhaaaaaaa

Glee means “pure delight.” Wow!! Yes; that’s what it’s like living life with Anna. And feeling good now. Living in the moment. Living in the now. Pure delight. Anna has always reminded me of a puppy and / or child. Because she lives her life in the now. It’s amazing. I’ve never met another adult that lives as completely in the moment as Anna does.

People are drawn to Anna. People attach themselves to Anna. People would come to her house and volunteer to do yardwork with her just so they could spend time with her! Even now – people (of their own accord) give things to Anna … all the time! Not because she asks them – but because they want to. Amazing. Still amazes me, but yet it doesn’t. Because I’ve been in the ‘now’ with her and it is the most true, happy, peaceful, exciting, enthusiastic, energetic, authentic, real moment that exists.

That’s one of the most important things I’ve learned from Anna – being in the moment. We’re always joking that I just think with the left-side of my brain. And it’s true. I’m very analytical, loved science and math in school, play classical piano, listen to classical music, am an innate introvert, a thinker, and calm, confident leader.

Anna is the most extreme extrovert you will ever meet in your life. She read a book by Tim LaHaye when she was younger on the different temperaments (which I’m not discovering is based on the Five Temperament Theory). According to the book, Anna was a Sparky Sanguine – the extrovert that is “warm, buoyant, lively, and fun-loving.” If this doesn’t describe Anna Shirley, I don’t know what does.

On top of that, she’s a prophet, an intuitive, a sensitive. She feels people. She sees people … no, like really sees people, including their past, present, and future. She was named after the prophetess Anna in Luke 2:36. She actually thought everyone had the gift of sight. When she was a small child, she was in the car with her dad and was telling him everything she saw about someone. When she noticed him looking in awe at her, she said, “What, don’t you see that about them?” He said, “no – do you?”

So here you have this super extrovert, Super Sanguine, who is a prophet, feeling and seeing things about life and people. Just know, that when you’re around her – you will feel it; it’s palpable. The now energy. The love. The godness. I’m not saying she’s a god. I am saying she’s definitely connected directly to God and that’s why people gravitate towards her like a magnet. Because they want to feel God.

Feel. Good. Now.
